About the temple
The Bandar Tasik Kesuma Sri Maha Mariamman Temple is one of the oldest Mariamman temple in Semenyih. The temple was founded by the local estate workers which was more than 100 years ago and currently being managed by the 4th-generation of the ubayakara family.
Ambal Sri Maha Mariamman is the presiding deity of the temple with the presence of Lord Vinayar, Lord Murugan, Lord Shiva, Lord Muniswarar, Navagrahas, Ambal Naagama, Lord Madurai Veeran and Lord Hanuman. There are many interesting stories about the temple, for example - the temple committee explained to our research team member on an incident happened few years back during the temple's annual festival (Thiruvizha) where a devotee from Rasah, Seremban had enter into trance and told the devotees that day that she had a dream about the temple and the presence of Ambal Maha Mariamman in the temple.
The Lord Hanuman shrine was built in the year 2013 and it said to have various unique characteristics including the rare image of Panchamuga Hanuman Dharisanam with his Third Eye (Netrikann). In his shrine, Lord Panchamuga Hanuman will be facing towards Rameswaram, India (the same direction of Lord Hanuman in Port Dickson Hanuman Temple).
It was said that a special priest from India was brought in to build and carve the image of Lord Hanuman with care and the shrine consist of soils taken from various Hanuman temples including Brickfields Hanuman Temple, Batu Cave Hanuman Temple, Port Dickson Hanuman Temple and a Hanuman Temple from India.
