About the Temple
The Sri Maha Raja Rajeswarar temple is located in Taman Tuanku Ja'ffar, Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. Believed to be dated back in the 1920s, the temple is dedicated Lord Shiva with the presence of Lord Hanuman and Lord Muniswarar.
One of the main attraction to the temple is the idol of Lord Hanuman. It is said that the Hanuman idol was craved by the priest when he was in trance and the idol was perfectly sculptured.
The story goes that the origin of this temple was due to an event when an Indian workers was in the process of clearing and burning the land found a tree which was only partially burnt. He believed that the presence of Lord Muneeswaran was signifantly strong and the local indian community started to offer prayers to the temple. The present day temple was consecrated on 30th April 2006.
